Guaranteed Destruction: Supercam Drone Group Strike Technology Tested at Rostec

The operator will be able to control 10 loitering munitions at once

Rostec has created a technology for the group use of Supercam strike drones (developed by the Bespilotnye Sistemy Group of Companies). To do this, the state corporation's engineers improved the data transmission system. Now drones can automatically exchange information about targets with each other.

Preliminary tests of the updated unmanned aerial system were carried out at one of the training grounds.

During the tests, a group of drones loitered over the area in target search mode.

The Supercam, which was the first to detect the target, transmitted the data to the other drones. The operator confirmed the strike on the target, after which all the drones from the group simultaneously attacked it.

The state corporation explained that the technology allows controlling up to 10 loitering munitions. The neural network recognizes the target and distributes tasks between other drones — which ones attack and which ones conduct objective control.

In the future, the technology of group interaction of drones can be used to overcome enemy air defense systems. This guarantees the destruction of the most difficult targets, Rostec summarized.
