Soviet weapon to defend the Russian Baltic: the DP-62 "Damba" system used in exercises

The coastal self-propelled rocket-propelled bombing system was created on the basis of the 9K51 "Grad" MLRS

The crew of the DP-62 "Damba" coastal anti-saboteur rocket-propelled bombing system conducted firing drills at the home port of ships of the Baltic Naval Base. This was reported by the press service of the Baltic Fleet.

According to the exercise scenario, a group of saboteurs was detected in the waters of the military base. Servicemen moved to the area, then deployed the DP-62 "Damba" and carried out a training salvo.

During the training session, tasks were practiced to monitor the underwater situation using hydroacoustic equipment, as well as to search for, detect, track, and conditionally destroy enemy underwater sabotage forces and assets.

Such training helps maintain the combat readiness of the Baltic Fleet's anti-saboteur defence units. Sailors can respond promptly to potential threats.
