"Depesha" Robot Learns to Simulate Targets for Military Training

New version of the drone will help soldiers practice shooting at moving targets

Special target equipment was installed on the tracked robotic complex for training military personnel in shooting. The modernization of "Depesha-3" was undertaken by the "High-Precision Systems" holding, which is part of the "Rostec" state corporation.

The updated machine creates a realistic target environment at training grounds. A soldier can practice hitting a moving target, which brings the training process as close as possible to real combat conditions. This training methodology significantly improves shooting skills and contributes to the faster formation of stable shooting skills.

The "Depesha" platform is versatile: different modules can be installed on it depending on the task. In addition to the role of a target, the robot is capable of transporting cargo - from provisions and fuel to equipment - and evacuating the wounded from the battlefield. The tracked chassis ensures cross-country ability over difficult terrain, which is important for field exercises.

The equipment can already be used not only in combat training, but also in shooting competitions. The mobile target complicates tasks for participants and makes competitions more spectacular.
