The newest S-70 "Okhotnik" strike and reconnaissance drone for the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter is undergoing state tests and may participate in experimental combat operations. This was reported by Izvestia.
The "Okhotnik" UAV can carry modern aviation weapons — from conventional to guided bombs, cruise missiles, and, in the future, aeroballistic missiles.
The pilot of the Su-57 fighter can redistribute targets between the aircraft and the drone.
Most likely, in the coming years, the "Okhotnik" will begin to enter service with the Russian Aerospace Forces.
Reserve Colonel Roman Nasonov clarified that the flight speed of the "Okhotnik" is 1400 km/h, the weight is 20 tons, and the length is 20 m. The wingspan of the S-70 is 14 m, and the payload is 3.8 tons. The aircraft flies 100 km ahead of the Su-57 to cover it.
