Rostec has developed glasses to support human biorhythms in polar conditions, they can help fight depression

Blue Sky Pro light lenses generate radiation that mimics the spectrum of the morning and evening sun

The Rostec State Corporation has presented Blue Sky Pro light therapy glasses designed for participants in Arctic and Antarctic expeditions. The device helps to adapt to the polar night, normalizes sleep and increases concentration. The effectiveness of the development has already been confirmed by tests in the Arctic.

A prolonged lack of natural light disrupts human circadian rhythms. This leads to chronic fatigue, sleep problems and reduced cognitive abilities. Blue Sky Pro glasses generate radiation that mimics the spectrum of the morning and evening sun. This light signal activates the body's "internal clock", forming a stable day and night regime. As a result, sleep quality improves, stress resistance and performance increase, even in conditions of isolation and extreme climate.

Rostec explained that sunlight at the beginning and end of the day sets the physiological rhythm, supports emotional tone and strengthens the immune system. In high latitudes, a lack of lighting provokes a decline in strength and increases the risk of disease. Engineers of the state corporation have created a technology that compensates for the lack of natural light: the device forms the correct light regime and helps the body maintain natural biorhythms.

In addition to polar expeditions, glasses will be useful when changing time zones by more than three hours, as well as when working the night shift. The gadget can improve well-being in case of seasonal depressions, neuroendocrine disorders and decreased concentration. Neurophysiological studies have confirmed the positive effect of the device on the functional state of the nervous system.
