The list of cars that can officially operate as taxis under the new rules has been expanded again. Now, four more models have been added to it: Haval Jolion, Haval F7, Haval F7x, and Tenet T7. This is not a surprise for the market, but it is important news for carriers: the wider the list, the more options taxi fleets and drivers have for updating their cars to meet the new requirements.
The list is related to the law on taxi localization. After the law comes into force, cars included in the regional registers of passenger taxis must meet the established requirements.
At the same time, the effective dates of the regulation depend on the region: in most of Russia, the law is effective from March 1, 2026, for the Kaliningrad region and the constituent entities of the Siberian Federal District — from March 1, 2028, and for the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, as well as the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District — from March 1, 2030.
One of the most understandable benchmarks for the market is precisely the list of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which shows which models fall under the approved parameters.
According to the new government decree, four models have been included in the list. These are Haval Jolion, Haval F7, Haval F7x, and Tenet T7. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has separately confirmed that these cars now fall under the parameters of the taxi localization law.
Business and industry publications also specify that we are talking about cars manufactured in Russia. Three Haval models are produced at a plant in the Tula region, and Tenet T7 is associated with production at the former Volkswagen site in Kaluga.
Previously, models of six brands were already included in the list. In the current version, in addition to the new Haval and Tenet, Lada Granta, Iskra, Vesta, Aura, Largus, Niva Travel and Niva Legend are listed. At the same time, the list includes Sollers SP7 and SF1, Evolute I-JOY, I-SKY and I-SPACE, Voyah Free, Dream and Passion, "Moskvich" 3, 3e, 6, 8, M70 and M90, as well as UMO 5.
