Lada Niva Travel now feels much more confident off-road thanks to the FDX tuning kit from F-Design. The specialists have completely redesigned the transmission: more powerful main gears and differential locks have appeared in the front and rear axles, which immediately increased the car's cross-country ability.
The suspension has also been raised and reinforced. The lift kit changed its geometry and strengthened the loaded elements, and the car was fitted with alloy wheels with 29-inch tires. The design of the wheels and tires is chosen by the owner, so each car is individual.
Protection against impacts and dirt is made in two versions: light aluminum shields for the engine, gearbox and transfer case, or more budget-friendly steel ones. For real off-road trips, a tow bar with bumper protection, power steps, a winch with a hidden bracket, a snorkel and a light bar on the roof have been added.
There are also useful little things for trips. There is now a cargo area on the roof, and convenient organizers in the trunk and spare wheel. An armrest with a box for small items has been installed in the cabin, and a box with an axe and shovel is attached to the fifth door. For those who travel with a dog, a mesh fence is offered in the trunk: it quickly folds up and turns into a shelf.
All work — from 3D modeling and testing to manufacturing parts and assembly — is carried out in Togliatti at the F-Design enterprise. Some components are made by Russian partners, while lighting equipment, tires and wheels are ordered from abroad. The head of the company, Ruslan Fedik, noted that the installation of the kit is carried out by the factory's specialists in the shortest possible time. Taking into account other orders, including tactical vehicles for the military, the company is capable of producing up to six such Niva Travel FDX per month.
