The Bespilotnye sistemy group of companies reported on the effectiveness of the Supercam S350 UAV under combat employment conditions in the armed conflict zone. The drone operator noted the high quality of the video data: the level of detail makes it possible to detect small objects from high altitude and provide precise artillery fire corrections to artillery units. During its operation, the crew detected several hundred targets: armored vehicles, artillery positions, automobiles, fortified shelters, and concentrations of enemy personnel.
Design features of the Supercam S350
The "flying wing" aerodynamic design provides a smaller number of docking assemblies and uniform mass distribution throughout the airframe volume, which increases resistance to strong winds. The electric engine operates silently: according to the operator, at a considerable distance the drone remains virtually undetectable to the enemy.
The Supercam S350 is manufactured by JSC "Engineering Center "SuperKam"" in Izhevsk. The drone is intended for aerial reconnaissance, monitoring, and artillery fire adjustment. According to the manufacturer, the system is used as the main reconnaissance UAV in the armed conflict zone.
