Russian motorists should not use studded tires from the beginning of summer. This was reminded by lawyer Dmitry Roshchin.
The ban is valid from June 1 to August 31, the expert explained.
The requirements for tire seasonality in Russia are established by the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of wheeled vehicles" and the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation.
For violation of Part 1 of Article 12.5 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (driving a car under conditions in which its operation is prohibited), a fine of 500 rubles is threatened. The driver can also get off with a warning.
However, the lawyer stressed, the motorist may be found guilty of an accident if it is established that the cause of the accident was poor grip on the road.
