The updated Niva Legend will receive a number of notable technical and interior improvements during the restyling. This was reported by blogger Khadm. According to his information, the SUV will be equipped with fully diode optics — such headlights previously appeared on the updated Niva Travel, and now the solution will be scaled to the classic model.
Another change concerns ergonomics — a trunk release button is planned to be placed under the rear "sabre". The blogger noted that the decision has been discussed for a long time, but its implementation is still in question.
Also, AvtoVAZ will modernize the Legend controls on the steering column. The outdated "stalk" type switch unit, familiar from the classic "Zhiguli", will be replaced with a modern module.
It is expected that Legend will be equipped with steering column switches from Granta, which will unify components within the model range and simplify maintenance.
A new 90-horsepower 1.8-liter engine, which is already used in the Lada Niva Travel, will be adapted for the car. Modernization of the chassis is also provided.
