T-Technologies has agreed to buy Auto.ru from Yandex for 35 billion rubles. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, with financing provided by borrowed funds.
The deal includes the entire Auto.ru business: the classifieds service, user sections, media, and products for car dealers. The brand and team will remain, and further development will continue within the group.
Currently, the platform's audience exceeds 30 million users per month, making the asset a significant source of traffic in the online car sales market. T-Technologies plans to use this user flow to develop its own financial services.
The goal is to build a complete chain around car purchases — from selection to loan processing, insurance, and further maintenance within a single ecosystem.
Yandex stated that the funds from the deal will be directed to technological areas with higher growth potential. Previously, the classifieds segment showed a decrease in revenue against the backdrop of a decline in the automotive market.
In the federal market of online car sales services, the key players remain Avito and Auto.ru. The deal strengthens T-Technologies' position in the auto segment and changes the balance by integrating financial services into the platform.
