The Russian kamikaze drone "Lancet" flew a record 200 kilometers for the first time. This was reported by blogger and analyst Kirill Fedorov.
According to his assessment, the drone could have received artificial intelligence for navigation and interaction "in a swarm." In addition, the "Lancet" could be equipped with a mesh modem, which is already being installed on the "Geran".
The Telegram channel "Military Informant" added that the flight to such a record range may indicate tests of the operation of "Lancets" as part of a swarm.
200 km significantly exceeds the known maximum range of "Lancets." This may also indicate its new modification with an increased flight range.
The Telegram channel "Military Chronicle" noted that the use of autonomous algorithms allows "Lancets" to continue performing the task even in conditions of active electronic warfare.
It should be noted that the average range of "Lancets" is usually limited to 90 km, but in early March it became known about the drone's flight to 136 km. The military noted that the "Lancet" is not afraid of the effects of electronic warfare systems, and the manufacturer regularly sends new software.
