Removable bunker for spare bullets for the MR-512S-09 pneumatic rifle developed at IMZ

Izhevsk engineers received a patent for a utility model

The head of the pneumatic weapons bureau of the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (JSC "IMZ", part of the "Kalashnikov" concern) Georgy Romanov and a student of the Izhevsk State Technical University (IzSTU) Maxim Chekletsov have developed a removable bunker for spare bullets for the MR-512S-09 pneumatic rifle. The inventors received a patent for the product. This was reported by the press service of the concern.

The removable bunker is installed in the recess of the stock, which limits its displacement in the horizontal plane. A magnet prevents the product from shifting in the vertical plane.

The proposed solution also allows the product to maintain an appearance identical to the MR-145 "Los" carbine.

This is the first patent for a utility model in the history of IMZ, in the creation of which a student of IzSTU took part. Under the guidance of Romanov, he developed drawings, participated in the assembly and testing of 30 removable bunkers, and also prepared documents for obtaining a patent.

MR-512S-09 is a spring-piston rifle. It differs from the serial MR-512S in its design. The metal coupling of the weapon is made of aviation aluminum. The rifle is equipped with an elongated trigger and a double-sided muzzle-handle.
