Fiber Optic PC: Graviton Launches Production of Secure Network Cards

Data transmission range - up to 100 kilometers

Russian computer manufacturer Graviton has announced the launch of mass production of NIC-GSFP-M201 network cards. The solution has already been entered into the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the company said.

The main feature of the new product is a form factor unique to the domestic market. The card is made for the M.2 (A/E) interface on a flexible cable, which allows you to install high-speed optical interfaces in monoblocks, mini-PCs and servers with a dense layout, where standard PCIe boards simply do not fit.

The data transmission range varies from 550 meters to 100 kilometers. Fiber optics provide noise immunity and signal stability even in strong electromagnetic interference.

The new product is aimed at the public sector, virtualization systems and network data storage (NAS). NIC-GSFP-M201 expands the possibilities of integrating high-speed network interfaces into compact computing systems. Thanks to the M.2 form factor and SFP module support, the solution provides flexibility in building optical communication channels and can be used in infrastructure with increased requirements for reliability and data transmission security.
Alexey Soldatov, Head of Components Department at Graviton

The cards are supplied as independent components, SFP modules are selected separately for the project tasks.
