The military-industrial holding "Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant" (KMZ) has handed over 30 airboats 650-K to the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The managing director of KMZ, Mikhail Danilenko, said that the delivery times were twice as fast.
The company and the Ministry of Emergency Situations have concluded a contract for 1.3 billion rubles, according to which the Ministry of Emergency Situations should receive 57 airboats by December 1, 2027.
From November to March, we delivered 30 airboats for the Ministry of Emergency Situations. There are 27 left, which we will also hand over to the customer with a double lead time.
According to Danilenko, engineers successfully tested and checked the transferred boats. The key feature is the propeller and diesel engine at 400 hp, thanks to which the ship will be able to overcome the most difficult obstacles.
The 650-K airboat can accelerate to 190 km/h and lift up to 1.5 tons of cargo on board, including a crew of 5–6 people. The range of the new product is up to 600 km.
