A 1996 VAZ-2106 with only about 13,000 km mileage is up for sale in the Moscow region. According to the seller, the car had one owner, and after his death, the vehicle passed to the heirs, who did not re-register the documents in their name.
For the last two decades, the sedan has been kept in a covered parking lot on special stands — this measure has minimized the static load on the suspension elements and tires. It is reported that after a long period of inactivity, the 1.5-liter carburetor engine was started without preliminary preparation, which indirectly confirms careful storage and the absence of critical corrosion damage.
Under the hood, there is a standard four-cylinder carburetor engine for the VAZ-2106 modification with a working volume of 1.5 liters, developing 72 hp at 5,600 rpm. The torque is 104 N·m at 3,400 rpm. The unit works in tandem with a five-speed manual gearbox, the drive is to the rear wheels.
The design of the car contributed to optimal weight distribution and predictable handling, which, combined with the ease of repair, made the "six" one of the most popular and reliable models of the Soviet and post-Soviet automotive industry.
The seller is asking for 1.5 million rubles for a car with preserved original interior trim, paintwork and technical components.
