Rostec has sent a batch of modernized BREM-80 recovery vehicles based on the T-80 tank to the troops. The key update was an increased level of crew protection, Rostec said.
The vehicles received a mechanized hitch, which allows evacuating damaged equipment without leaving the cab.
BREM special equipment also includes hydraulic winches and a bulldozer blade for clearing debris and fixing the vehicle during operation, the state corporation noted.

The vehicle can tow not only Russian, but also heavier Western tanks on its own. During the international competition "Rembat-2018", BREM-80 set a record, demonstrating the possibility of evacuating six coupled T-80 tanks.
