The Gorky Automobile Plant has unveiled the new "Gazel Logistic" model — a universal truck created specifically for delivery services. Engineers borrowed the chassis, stepped frame, and body from the production "Gazel City" bus, which made it possible to reduce the cost of the new vehicle.
The main technical feature is the pneumatic suspension of the rear wheels. The cargo compartment is equipped with folding shelves and lashing rails for securing oversized items. If necessary, the shelves can be folded away completely, turning the van into a regular truck.
A walk-through passage between the cab and the body speeds up the work of the driver-forwarder, while the automatic doors open via remote control. The door design (plug-sliding on the right and rear roller shutter lift-up at the back) allows the vehicle to pull up close to buildings.
The "Gazel Logistic" is equipped with a G51A diesel engine meeting the Euro-5 standard, producing 149 hp, and is capable of carrying up to 1,200 kg of cargo.
