Footage of the combat operation of the 9K35M3 «Strela-10M3» anti-aircraft missile system crew, equipped with the «porcupine» protection system, has appeared online — the photo was published by the Telegram channel «Military Informant».
It was previously reported that the modernized «Strela-10M3» (code «Gyurza») received a new L-136 sight. It allows detecting F-16 fighters by the heat of their engines at 8–10 km, and cruise missiles at 3–5 km. The main armament of the «Strela-10M3» remains the 9M333 missiles with three-spectrum homing heads, resistant to interference.
«Strela-10M3» intercepts targets at speeds up to 415 m/s head-on and up to 310 m/s in pursuit. And if the complex works in tandem with the «Garmon» radar, even cruise missiles such as the «Neptune-MD» and SCALP-EG become within its reach.
