The RusHydro Group has moved to the final stage of upgrading Vladivostok CHP Plant-2, which will increase the total installed electrical capacity of the facility from the current 559 MW to 574 MW. According to the company's press service, the reconstruction project started in 2021, and its full completion is scheduled for the end of 2027.
The Vladivostok CHP Plant-2 modernization project includes the replacement of three turbine units (with an electrical capacity of 120 MW each) and the installation of three new boiler units (with a thermal capacity of 190 Gcal/h each) to replace the outdated six that have been in operation for more than 40 years.
This stage includes comprehensive work on the replacement and optimization of key equipment, aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of the station. Vladivostok CHP Plant-2 plays an important role in the energy supply of the Primorsky Territory, providing a stable supply of heat and electricity for industrial and domestic consumers.
RusHydro, as a leading player in the Russian energy market, manages over 600 generating facilities. The total installed capacity of power plants reaches 38.7 GW, making the company the largest in the industry in terms of this indicator. The modernization of CHP Plant-2 fits into the group's strategy to improve energy efficiency and adapt infrastructure to growing loads.
