Capable of Detecting Micro-UAVs and Projectiles: Rostec Creates Mobile Radar for Pickup Trucks

The station has already undergone combat deployment

The "High-Precision Systems" holding of the Rostec State Corporation has developed a new radar station for airspace surveillance, designed for installation on pickup trucks and other vehicles. The system has already undergone combat deployment, as stated by the industrial director of the Rostec State Corporation's weapons cluster, Bekkhan Ozdoev, in an interview with TASS.

The radar is capable of detecting drones of all classes, including micro-UAVs, which are particularly difficult to track using traditional means. The station is the result of the evolution of technologies tested in real combat environments, which has ensured its high efficiency.

One of the key advantages of the complex, according to Ozdoev, is its mobility: the station can operate not only from unprepared positions but also directly on the move during short stops. This flexibility increases the system's survivability and allows for a quick response to changing situations.

The radar is capable of operating in counter-battery mode — detecting the trajectories of mines and projectiles, and then transmitting target designations to various means of destruction.

Mobile radar stations are becoming an important element of the modern battlefield, where low-visibility drones and short-lived artillery duels play an increasing role. The ability to place such a complex on a regular vehicle expands the control zone and speeds up the deployment of air defense assets at the tactical level, increasing the survivability of units.
