Volgabus has begun assembling Yutong 6128 touring buses. Production is currently organized at two sites.
The chassis for the buses are manufactured in Vladimir, while the body with completed welding and painting is produced in Volzhsky. In the future, assembly is planned to be consolidated at a single plant.
The official presentation of the localized touring bus is scheduled for March. A prototype of the model, which will be produced at Volgabus, was presented at the end of last year at an event at NAMI.
The Yutong 6128 bus is 12,300 mm long, 2,550 mm wide, and 3,840 mm high (with the air conditioner installed). The interior height of the passenger compartment is 2,100 mm, and the wheelbase is 6,100 mm. The bus is designed for 50 passengers plus 1 driver and 1 attendant. The luggage compartment volume is 7 m³, and the gross weight is 19,300 kg.
