Tests of launching the drone "Knyaz Vandal Novgorodsky" from the BEK "Skorlupa" were conducted in the Black Sea

The unmanned aircraft successfully took off, detected the target, and destroyed it

The research and production center "Ushkuynik" reported the successful completion of the first test launches of the fiber-optic unmanned vehicle "Knyaz Vandal Novgorodsky" from aboard the uncrewed boat "Skorlupa".

The tests took place in the waters of the Black Sea and were recorded on video, which the company published to demonstrate its achievements.

According to information from the developers, the boat "Skorlupa" became Russia's first serially produced uncrewed vessel equipped with a fiber-optic control channel. The solution provides high resistance to interference and reliable communication in difficult maritime conditions. The fiber-optic drone, in turn, is intended for missions in reconnaissance, monitoring, and combat strikes.

It is worth noting that fiber-optic communication technology has long been used in the Russian army. It minimizes delays and increases mission safety by eliminating dependence on radio signals that are vulnerable to jamming.
