Leonardo booking system restored: Aeroflot and other companies resume ticket issuance and registration

Passengers will be compensated for delays of 70 flights at 10 Russian airports

The service provider Sirena-Travel has fixed a major failure in the Leonardo booking system. Currently, Aeroflot has fully resumed passenger and baggage check-in, ticket issuance, rebooking and refunds, as well as the sale of additional services.

As a result of a global failure, about 70 flights were delayed or canceled at ten major airports in Russia. The largest number of disruptions were recorded at Moscow's Sheremetyevo: 18 flights were canceled and 22 were delayed from 15:00 to 19:00. Schedule disruptions began around 17:00, although passenger check-in continued manually.

Aeroflot announced that passengers of canceled flights can rebook tickets for the next ten days free of charge or apply for a full refund. Passengers were advised to track the current status of flights through the online scoreboard and the "Manage Booking" section on the carrier's official website due to possible schedule adjustments.

Charter carriers Nordwind, Red Wings and Azur Air did not cancel flights — their operating systems do not depend on the Leonardo platform. S7 Airlines also avoided disruptions because it uses an alternative booking system.
