Russian military personnel presented a unique homemade night vision system, assembled quite literally "on the fly" from improvised materials. The device is based on ordinary VR goggles widely used by FPV drone operators. The troops upgraded them by installing night cameras from unmanned aerial vehicles, resoldering the electronics, and adding an autonomous power source.
According to the servicemen, the new system makes it possible to effectively detect enemy FPV drones and track the movement of foot patrol groups at night. The device has already proven its value in real combat conditions: in complete darkness, the silhouette of an enemy drone becomes clearly distinguishable, giving the crew a decisive advantage during interception.
