Kalashnikov Concern will present upgraded copter-type unmanned aerial vehicles — "Goliaf 2.0" and "Karakurt 2.0" — at the international UMEX 2026 exhibition in Abu Dhabi, which will take place from January 20 to 22, 2026.
Both systems are designed for electro-optical reconnaissance and are capable of detecting, identifying, and tracking both stationary and moving targets. Their communications are protected by a jam-resistant radio system with encryption and pseudo-random frequency hopping, ensuring operation even under conditions of active electronic countermeasures.
"Goliaf 2.0" is equipped with a module featuring a high-resolution daytime camera (wide-angle and telephoto lens), a high-sensitivity thermal imager, and a three-axis gyro-stabilized gimbal. The aircraft also received obstacle avoidance systems and warnings about the proximity of other UAVs.
"Karakurt 2.0" stands out for its compactness: it can be carried in a backpack or on gear. It is launched directly from a transport-launch container that provides protection against water, dust, and mechanical damage. Thanks to quick battery replacement, reconnaissance can be conducted continuously. The electro-optical module includes a daytime camera and a thermal imager on a two-axis gimbal.
Both UAVs are integrated into an inter-service information exchange system, allowing data to be transmitted directly to the command post.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia will demonstrate more than 200 samples of military products at the UMEX 2026 exhibition in the UAE.
