New Generation Drones "Goliath 2.0" and "Karakurt 2.0" from "Kalashnikov" to Debut in Abu Dhabi

The drones received improved optoelectronic systems and secure communication

The Kalashnikov Group will present updated copter-type unmanned aerial vehicles — "Goliath 2.0" and "Karakurt 2.0" — at the international exhibition UMEX 2026 in Abu Dhabi, which will be held from January 20 to 22, 2026.

Both complexes are designed for optoelectronic reconnaissance and are capable of detecting, identifying, and tracking both stationary and mobile targets. Their communication is protected by a jam-resistant radio system with encryption and pseudo-random frequency hopping, which ensures operation even in conditions of active electronic warfare.

"Goliath 2.0" is equipped with a module with a high-resolution day camera (wide-angle and telephoto lens), a thermal imager with high sensitivity, and a three-axis gyro-stabilized suspension. The device also received obstacle avoidance and proximity warning systems for other UAVs.

"Karakurt 2.0" is compact: it can be carried in a backpack or on equipment. It is launched directly from a transport and launch container that provides protection against water, dust, and mechanical damage. Thanks to the quick battery replacement, reconnaissance can be conducted continuously. The optoelectronic module includes a day camera and a thermal imager on a two-axis suspension.

Both UAVs are integrated into the interspecific information exchange system, which allows data to be transmitted directly to the command post.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia will demonstrate more than 200 samples of military products at the UMEX 2026 exhibition in the UAE.
