Those responsible for the crash of the Su-30 fighter, which caused the death of two pilots, have been named

The IC established that during the preparation of the aircraft for flight, two officials knowingly exceeded their authority

The Investigative Committee has completed the investigation of the criminal case regarding the crash of the Su-30 fighter in Irkutsk in the fall of 2022, which resulted in the death of two pilots. This was reported in the press service of the department.

Law enforcement officers have charged six officials of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, including the management of the engineering and technical staff.

Currently, the victims are being familiarized with the materials of the criminal case, after which the materials will be provided for familiarization to the accused and their defenders, then the case will be sent to the prosecutor with an indictment.

As a reminder, the Su-30 aircraft crashed on October 23, 2022, on a duplex house in the private sector of Irkutsk during an acceptance and delivery flight.

Both pilots died, there were no casualties among the residents, at the time of the plane crash there were no residents in the house. According to the investigation, the pilots suffocated due to a malfunction in the on-board oxygen system.

Prior to that, the court established the responsibility of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for the emergency with the Su-34 combat aircraft in Yeysk on October 17, 2022.
