In Cherepovets, Vologda Region, a private individual has put up for sale a rare example of domestic special-purpose machinery — the ultra-heavy KZKT-7428 semi-truck tractor. This vehicle, produced more than two decades ago, is in excellent condition and is being offered for 2 million rubles.
According to the listing, the vehicle is equipped with a 26-liter YaMZ diesel engine and underwent regular maintenance throughout its entire service life. The mileage and usage history are not disclosed, but the owner emphasized that the machine is fully ready for operation and does not require major repairs.
KZKT-7428 is one of the last developments of the Kurgan Wheel Tractor Plant, created on the basis of the famous "Kolkhoznik" platform. The tractor is designed for towing ultra-heavy trailers and semi-trailers weighing up to 100 tons or more, including in off-road conditions. Its all-wheel-drive 8×8 wheel arrangement provides high cross-country ability even on difficult terrain.
At the heart of the machine is a YaMZ-8401.10 V12 diesel rated at 525 horsepower with a displacement of 26 liters. The engine is paired with a manual transmission and a transfer case with a low range. Thanks to the centralized tire pressure control system, the driver can adapt the vehicle to specific road conditions directly from the cab. The maximum speed is about 60 km/h, and the cruising range exceeds 1,000 km.
Experts note that such tractors are extremely rare today: most of them have either been decommissioned or are in museum collections or in the hands of enthusiasts. The presence of a fully functioning KZKT-7428 on the civilian market is a notable event, especially given its technical soundness and the preservation of its original components.
