The Miass plant "AST Slon" will establish the production of tank trucks with suitcase and elliptical cross-sections. This was reported by the press service of the Industry Development Fund (IDF) of the Chelyabinsk region.
The company will receive 70 million rubles of concessional loan from the IDF for the project implementation, and another 18 million rubles will be own funds. The following will be purchased for the organization of the production line:
- laser cutting machine for sheet metal
- bending press
- flange bending machine
- pipe bender
Tank trucks with suitcase and elliptical cross-sections are needed for the transportation of flammable and explosive petroleum products, as well as technical water. The special shape of the structure has a low center of gravity, which makes the transport stable and safe.
Until recently, we only produced tank trucks with a circular cross-section, that is, vacuum and sewer trucks. But there is a stable demand for other types as well.
The production line will be launched by the end of 2026. It is expected to reach its planned capacity in 2028.
