In 2025, the Republic of Bashkortostan significantly surpassed the established production targets for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), manufacturing more than 9 thousand units. The initial plan called for the production of 6 thousand drones, but the republic fulfilled it by 150%.
The growth dynamics of the industry in the region demonstrate a steady positive trend: while in 2023 just over 1 thousand UAVs were produced, by 2024 volumes had quadrupled to 4 thousand units. In 2025, this figure reached 9 thousand.
A new objective has been set for the region for 2026 — to bring annual production to 10 thousand UAS. Three leading enterprises are involved in achieving this goal: NPO "Ufimec", the company "Forpost", and "Integral Robotic Technologies".
The core of the manufactured products consists of light unmanned aircraft of airplane and multirotor types with a takeoff weight of up to 30 kg. Such drones are used for a wide range of tasks — from aerial photography and environmental monitoring to the delivery of light cargo to hard-to-reach areas. In addition, NPO "Ufimec" has launched serial production of the heavy UAS "Ufimec-150", intended for the agricultural sector and logistics operations, including cargo transportation over medium distances.
