The Belarusian plant Belgee will conclude 2025 with a record production volume of over 90,000 cars, exceeding the set plan. This was announced by the company's CEO, Gennady Svidersky, who emphasized that the first stage of the plant's modernization has already been successfully implemented.
According to Svidersky, the key challenge in the modernization process was optimizing the painting line. To address this, the company introduced additional robotic complexes, both at the sealant application stage and during body painting. Furthermore, a transition was made to "wet-on-wet" technology, which not only reduced energy consumption but also doubled the production capacity of the painting shop.
In the domestic market of Belarus, 28,500 cars will be sold in 2025, which is 14% more than the previous year's result. The most popular models among consumers are Belgee X50, Belgee S50, and Belgee X70, with the X50 confidently remaining the sales leader.
Plans for 2026 include launching a restyled version of the Belgee X50, as well as starting sales of the new compact crossover Geely Cityray, which will join the lineup under the Belgee brand. These projects will be a priority for the plant in the new year.
