Uralvagonzavod (part of the Rostec structure) announced the fulfillment of its obligations under the state defense order for 2025. The final batch of T-90M "Proryv" main battle tanks has been sent to the troops.
As the enterprise's Executive Director Vladimir Roshchupkin stated, despite the growth in the volume of the state defense order, the enterprise is making every effort to fulfill contracts on time. He emphasized that the team puts not only professionalism but also personal responsibility into every unit of equipment, expressing hope that the improved armor of the new tanks will become a reliable shield for Russian servicemen and help save their lives in combat conditions.
The plant continues systematic work on modernizing the T-90M, taking into account combat-use experience. Engineers are constantly improving the vehicle's protective, operational, and tactical-technical characteristics, adapting it to the modern requirements of the theater of military operations.
The T-90M "Proryv" tank is a deep modernization of the T-90 line and is considered one of the most protected and technologically advanced examples of Russian armored vehicles. The vehicle is equipped with multilayer composite armor featuring elements of the "Relikt" explosive reactive armor system, which effectively counters both shaped-charge and armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot rounds.
Its armament includes a 125 mm 2A82-1M smoothbore gun with an autoloader, allowing it to fire "Spiral-3" guided missiles at a range of up to 5 km. The three-man crew is supported by the "Kalina" digital information and control system, which integrates data from sensors, communications, and reconnaissance assets.
The combat vehicle's weight reaches 48 tons, while its mobility and cross-country capability remain at a high level thanks to the proven base platform and modern running-gear units.
