Scammers are sending messages in messengers about an alleged upcoming New Year's payment to Russians from January 1, 2026. The maximum amount of the "payment" in these messages reaches 325 thousand rubles. This was reported by the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for combating the illegal use of information and communication technologies.
The department gave an example of the text of the mailing: allegedly, payments depend on age and city, all citizens born after 1950 can become recipients, the minimum amount is 35 thousand rubles, the maximum is 325 thousand. The Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed that the information is completely false.
To find out about real social benefits, citizens should only use the official "Gosuslugi" portal. There you can get an extract about the assigned benefits and payments only for yourself through a verified account. In your personal account, you can select a period - for the last six months, a year, two years, or any period from 2018.
