Russia has proposed to China to move from trading medical equipment to establishing joint production. This was announced by the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in China, Alexey Dakhnovsky, at a conference in Beijing.
Russia is preparing new national projects that will accelerate the development of all high-tech industries, the speaker explained. In his opinion, the implementation of such large plans requires coordination of efforts between the state, business, and industrial cooperation with friendly countries, including China.
Russia proposes that China change the format of work: move away from the simple buying and selling scheme to creating joint ventures and industrial integration.
Moscow is open to cooperation with Chinese companies that are interested in localizing its production, Dakhnovsky summarized.
KRET (part of Rostec) is considered one of the largest developers and manufacturers of medical equipment in the Russian Federation. The holding unites about 70 enterprises and design bureaus. It produces about 10 medical devices under the import substitution program, including ventilators and HIFU therapy devices.
