Sber has started testing the "Pay in Parts" service on biometric terminals for its clients. This is reported by the bank's press service.
Currently, the function is available in test mode on a limited number of terminals. In the future, it is planned to expand it gradually, especially in large federal retail chains. For now, as part of the testing, clients can apply for installments for amounts up to 150,000 rubles.
The implementation of the service in offline stores is a continuation of the online service "Pay in Parts", which has already been used by more than 1.5 million people since its launch.
When paying at the terminal, the client may see the "Pay in Parts" button, which appears thanks to a built-in machine learning model that assesses a person's readiness for installments. The choice of payment method remains with the buyer. For convenience, biometric data, "Vzhuh" technology, cards, and NFC are used.
For business, the "Pay in Parts" service reduces the barrier to purchase, helps increase the average check, stimulates revenue growth, and also helps attract new clients.
