Sollers is preparing to start production of a frame SUV with the working title S9. Sales will start in the third quarter of 2026. A version with a diesel engine and all-wheel drive will be available.
The SUV is based on the platform of the large ST9 pickup. However, unlike the ST9, which offers two powertrain options, the S9 will only come with one — a diesel. The ST9's two-liter diesel produces 163 horsepower and works in tandem with an eight-speed automatic.
The new S9 will get a part-time all-wheel drive system. In the future, the car may have alternative transmissions, including a manual gearbox. Two interior configurations will be offered – for five and seven seats. The basic equipment, according to preliminary information, will include a full set of heating. The price of the car is unknown.
