On Tuesday, November 25, the combat crew of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of the Russian Federation successfully launched a light-class Angara-1.2 rocket with spacecraft in the interests of the Ministry of Defense from the Plesetsk cosmodrome. This was stated in the press service of the department.
The launch of the carrier and the deployment of the vehicles into the calculated orbit took place as normal. After the launch, the Angara-1.2 was taken over by specialists from the German Titov Space Center.
At the estimated time, the spacecraft were launched into their target orbits and taken over for control by ground-based facilities of the space forces of the Aerospace Forces.
The department added that telemetry communication was established with the spacecraft, and all onboard systems are functioning normally. The Ministry of Defense did not specify exactly which satellites the Angara launched into orbit.
It should be noted that the two-stage Angara-1.2, with a launch weight of about 170 tons, has a length of about 42 m. Depending on the altitude of the orbit of the payload, the mass ranges from 1.6 to 3.5 tons.
