The Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (part of the Kalashnikov concern) has completed a contract to supply the customer with MR-155 self-loading anti-drone guns. It is actively used by military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces, the concern's press service reported.
In 2025, the plant significantly increased the production of the popular model of MR-155 self-loading guns.
According to Melnikov, the production of MR-155 was increased by improving manufacturing technologies.
The anti-drone version of the weapon was developed on the basis of the MR-155 smooth-bore self-loading gun. It was first presented to the general public in the summer of 2024 at the Army forum in Kubinka near Moscow.
The gun is distinguished by the presence of a Picatinny rail on the receiver, a magazine for 6 rounds of 12x76 mm caliber, as well as an extended configuration (supplied with a case and pouch). A collimator sight and a night vision device can be installed on the MR-155.
