Russia Delivers New Batch of Spartak Armored Vehicles to Iran

The armored vehicle is equipped with a KamAZ-740.35-400 diesel engine with a power of 400 hp.

Iran has received another batch of Russian AMN-59095S-15 Spartak armored vehicles, designed for patrolling, reconnaissance, and transporting personnel in high-threat areas. The previous delivery of similar vehicles was recorded in February 2025, indicating an increase in the pace of military-technical cooperation between Russia and Iran against the backdrop of escalating geopolitical tensions in the region.

According to sources in the defense industry, the new batch includes at least 20 units of armored vehicles. The vehicles were spotted near a military base in the Isfahan province, where they are believed to be undergoing testing and preparation of Iranian crews. The Russian side has not provided official comments, but sources in the defense industry confirm that the contract for the supply of "Spartaks" was concluded back in 2023 and provides for the phased transfer of equipment over three years.

The Spartak armored vehicle is developed on the basis of the KamAZ-4380 chassis and belongs to the class of wheeled vehicles with increased protection. It is designed to carry up to 10 people (including the driver and commander), has high cross-country ability and is capable of performing tasks in conditions of mine and fire threats.

The vehicle is equipped with centralized tire inflation systems, air conditioning, radiation and chemical protection, and the possibility of installing additional weapons - from a 7.62-mm PKT machine gun to a 12.7-mm "Kord" or a 30-mm automatic grenade launcher. The AMN-59095S-15 variant, supplied abroad, is adapted to the climatic and tactical requirements of the customer, including reinforced cooling and filtration systems.
