A new enterprise for the repair and production of gas turbine equipment worth almost 1 billion rubles has been launched in the Republic of Tatarstan. The "Gas Turbine Equipment Plant" (part of the Amkor group of companies) in Zelenodolsk has become the first anchor resident of the new "Turbine" industrial park.
The new enterprise is equipped with unique equipment for Russia, including 3D scanning complexes, laser cladding, and its own non-destructive testing laboratory.
We plan to localize a small capacity turbine — 2–2.5 megawatts. We have technological partners from friendly countries who are ready to transfer this technology to Russia.
The plant's capacity allows for a full cycle of work — from restoration to production of "hot section" components for Siemens and General Electric turbines.
If there is an anchor order, the first fully localized turbine running on a methane-hydrogen mixture could be produced by the end of 2027.
