Certification of the new Evolute i-Joy compact urban crossover has begun in Russia. This model from the "Motorinvest" plant is undergoing the necessary checks before the start of sales.
Evia, affiliated with Motorinvest, received five declarations of conformity for this model on November 1. Soon the car may receive a Vehicle Type Approval, after which the crossover will appear at dealerships.
Evolute i-Joy is an analogue of the Chinese Dongfeng Vigo, which appeared on the market in China just six months ago. The Russian version does not have Chinese emblems and has an added shark fin antenna on the roof. The dimensions of the crossover are 4306 × 1868 × 1645 mm, and the wheelbase is 2715 mm, which is 10 cm more than the Hyundai Creta. The ground clearance of the Evolute i-Joy is 180 mm.
The interior of the crossover is made in a minimalist style: there are practically no buttons, and all functions are controlled via a 12.8-inch touchscreen.
In the most expensive configuration, the Evolute i-Joy is equipped with a 51.87 kWh traction battery, providing a range of up to 471 km according to the CLTC methodology. The 163-horsepower electric motor is mounted on the front axle.
Analysts predict the price of the crossover will be in the range of 1.6–1.7 million rubles, taking into account a discount of 925 thousand rubles under the state program.
