Yandex has announced the launch of a new category of wearable devices with artificial intelligence (AI) functions. The first will be headphones that will allow users to interact with neural networks via voice.
The headphones will be connected to a new version of the chat using AI. Users will not only be able to ask questions, but also perform various tasks, analyze data and make decisions based on specified parameters.
Valery Stromov, Head of the "Alice" and smart devices direction at Yandex, reminded about the spring launch of the portable speaker "Station Street" with AI function, designed for outdoor use. He explained that users will be able to contact "Alice" at any time to obtain information or perform tasks without touching the phone.
Users will be able to share thoughts and tasks by voice, and "Alice" will convert them into structured lists, reminders and notes. All this can be viewed in the "Alice" application or through a wearable device.
Previously, Yandex offered various smart devices for the home. In 2024, it disclosed revenue in this segment for the first time — 46 billion rubles.
