Tula rescuers received a new "Pyatnashka" snow and swamp buggy

New equipment will help rescuers reach remote areas faster

Tula rescuers have a new snow and swamp buggy that can move on water, snow and off-road. The vehicle successfully passed tests on October 21 at the "Pyatnashka" pond, where employees of the city Center for Civil Protection and Rescue Operations tested its capabilities in conditions close to real ones.

The new transport is built on the basis of a truck and is designed for 11 people. "Pyatnashka" is equipped with a winch, an autonomous heater, a compressor and a first-aid kit.

The head of the Civil Defense Center, Nikolai Bezrukov, noted that during the period of spring floods, the all-terrain vehicle will help to get to flooded areas faster, where previously it was possible to get only on heavy equipment. "In emergency situations, we will now be more efficient and move around in a variety of terrains," he stressed.

The snow and swamp buggy develops a speed of up to 80 km/h and is already used in training evacuations. The head of the Tula administration, Ilya Bespalov, personally tested the car and noted that it will allow delivering doctors, food and medicine to remote areas during floods. According to him, the transport is easy to drive and can be used in any weather conditions.

This technique significantly increases the mobility of urban rescue services. In extreme weather conditions, the availability of all-terrain vehicles ensures a rapid response to emergency situations and helps to save lives where no ordinary car can pass.
