ЛАДА Ижевский Автомобильный Завод отметил 60-летие

The Russian brand, part of the AvtoVAZ Group, has produced more than 6 million cars in its history

60 years ago, on October 21, 1965, the decision was made to create automobile production as part of the Izhmash enterprise, and a year later, the first model under the "Izh" brand rolled off the assembly line.

Lada Vesta, until 2022, was assembled in Izhevsk

Starting with the assembly of adapted "Moskvich" cars, the Izhevsk Automobile Plant soon began producing its own models and modifications. Repeatedly modernizing and increasing the technological capabilities of its facilities, the car plant successfully cooperated with foreign brands, which allowed it to reach a new level of quality and production culture. The enterprise became one of the first in the country to master the production of cars according to international standards — the plant produced KIA and Nissan, as well as components for Renault and Datsun.

Moskvich-412 was produced from 1967 to 1997 at the Izhevsk Automobile Plant

Since 2011, LADA Izhevsk Automobile Plant has been part of AvtoVAZ. In 2014, the enterprise mastered the production of the Lada Granta liftback, and in 2015, it took a qualitatively new step forward, starting the production of the Lada Vesta family.

Today, the plant has a full-cycle production, including stamping, plastic production, production lines for welding bodies with 39 robots and another 13 robots on the painting line, as well as an assembly line designed to produce 25 cars per hour.

Lada Largus

Currently, Lada Largus and Lada e-Largus cars are assembled at the plant in Izhevsk. To date, more than 50 thousand Izhevsk Lada Largus cars have already been produced.

Today www1.ru wrote that in Russia, sales of Lada Largus cars were stopped due to a defect in the power steering system in 5 thousand cars.
