A new gliding aerial bomb with an increased flight range has been developed for the Russian military. The first footage of the new product was published by a specialist in combat aviation, military blogger Fighterbomber.
The difference of the new munition lies in the jet booster. It significantly increased its flight range.
In terms of aerodynamic design, the aerial bomb is similar to the usual universal gliding and correction module (UMPC). Folding wings and a V-shaped tail unit are clearly visible in the photo, but the planes are integrated into its design.
According to open sources, the munition is capable of hitting targets at a range of up to 130 km. Fighterbomber clarified that the aerial bomb is not yet equipped with an engine. The mass of the warhead is not yet known.
The main carrier of such aerial bombs is the Su-34 fighter-bomber.
