The QA team from T-Bank has developed a robot capable of fully simulating the work of an ATM tester. The robotic arm performs physical actions — inserts and removes cards, enters PIN codes, interacts with the touchscreen and bill acceptor, following pre-set test cases.
Initially, the movements were formed manually, but after switching to ROS2 and MoveIt2, the robot began to work autonomously — it is able to avoid obstacles and stably reproduce regression testing scenarios on different device models.
The development of proprietary software has made it possible to automate repetitive operations and reduce the risk of human error. Now the QA team can focus on developing new scenarios and improving the quality of service.
It is noted that there were no analogues of such solutions for ATMs in the world before.
