Национальный автомобильный союз предложил ФАС отрегулировать цены на топливо

The cost of gasoline increased by 9.22% in the nine months of this year

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) was proposed to introduce a price ceiling on fuel at gas stations. Representatives of the National Automobile Union appealed to the agency. It is proposed to establish that the cost of fuel does not exceed the price of the corresponding day in 2024, taking into account inflation.

The FAS notes that the current regulatory mechanisms do not affect independent gas stations, which have the freedom to set prices. This creates an opportunity for individual market participants to set high prices, which causes dissatisfaction among consumers.

According to Rosstat, from January to September 2025, gasoline prices increased by 9.22%, while overall inflation for the same period was 4.29%. The difference indicates that independent gas stations charge higher prices compared to vertically integrated companies.

You can, of course, use the FAS to put pressure on independent gas stations that are "profiting from the working people", but this will only lead to the closure of these gas stations and the disappearance of gasoline in some regions

According to the journalist, the destruction of independent gas stations will lead to the arrival of large companies in their place. Kadakov is skeptical that they will immediately lower fuel prices.
