Two game development studios and a publisher from Taiwan are planning to become residents of the Moscow Video Game and Animation Cluster, which will open in Skolkovo at the end of 2025. This was announced by the press service of the Moscow Agency of Creative Industries (ACI).
The intention was announced by the heads of the companies during the ACI business mission at the largest Southeast Asian exhibition, Indonesia Game Developer eXchange.
To obtain resident status and have access to various cluster services, foreign companies need to register a legal entity in Moscow.
Gulnara Agamova, General Director of ACI, stated that attracting foreign companies to the Moscow Video Game and Animation Cluster is an important task. This will help Russian developers create international projects and enter the markets of other countries.
Agreements on Entering New Markets
Moscow developers reached a number of agreements at the Indonesia Game Developer eXchange, including the export of games to Indonesia. In addition, they will create interactive content for the Indonesian holding PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia.
Negotiations are also ongoing with a major Asian investment fund on the mutual promotion of content in the Russian and Indonesian markets, the launch of accelerators and online pitching sessions.
Representatives of the Korean publisher Qgames also attended the Indonesia Game Developer eXchange. Moscow developers have preliminarily agreed with them on the publication of their games on the Stove platform. The agreement may be signed in November at the G-Star exhibition.
