«Главная ошибка отрасли»: конструктор рассказал, почему дроны нельзя называть БПЛА

Неверное употребление термина БПЛА мешает развитию отечественных дронов и тормозит законотворчество

The common definition of drones as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is actually fundamentally wrong and actually hinders the development of technology. Dmitry Kuzyakin, chief designer of the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions (CCBR), announced the problem.

Strike drone "Lancet"

According to him, technically, a modern drone is not just an aircraft without a pilot, but a fundamentally new type of equipment built on a digital architecture. The engineer recalled that traditional UAVs have been developing since the late 19th century - from radio-controlled airplanes and torpedoes to missiles and military complexes.

Drones, especially quadcopters and multicopters, became possible only with the advent of powerful processors, digital sensors and stabilization algorithms that correct the position of the device tens of thousands of times per second. A quadcopter flies because it relies on calculations.

Kuzyakin clarified that due to errors in definitions, the industry has faced confusion in standards and excessive regulation. The designer believes that it is necessary to clearly separate the terms UAV and "drone" in legislation.

Earlierwww1.ru reported that the new fiber-optic FPV drone "Splinter" developed by the "Thunderstorm" project hits 80% of targets.
