"Iron One" Proved He Can Handle Routine Duties of a Deputy's Assistant

Robot Volodya was hired to work in the State Duma as an assistant to a deputy. His responsibilities included routine tasks — delivering mail, meeting visitors in the State Duma, and taking requests to the chancellery. The robot performed various tasks for two days and successfully coped with them, as reported to Vedomosti by State Duma deputy Andrei Svintsov.

Svintsov said that he had been testing the robot assistant for two days. On the first day, he collected correspondence and carried boxes of documents.

In principle, the robot copes with this. Its main advantage is working in 24/7 mode.

On the second day, Volodya was already a correspondent for the LDPR-TV channel at the party congress. He is also capable of working as a cameraman, photographer, and presenter.

We will experiment to see if robots can replace deputies' assistants  —  this includes campaigning, distributing paraphernalia, and traveling to the regions. We will find out if he can analyze a large amount of information. Can he understand the issues that citizens write to us about in their appeals.

The deputy noted that the robot cannot fully replace an assistant yet.
